Carrie and I became apartment-mates right when she started dating David, right up until they got married and she moved in with him, so I have felt like the third wheel in their relationship sometimes, well, more like the 5th wheel now that they have a 2nd child on the way ! So much excitement ! It is fun to see how their family has grown ! Merry Christmas, Brosnans !

Thanksgiving photo session at the folks {Personal}
It's a rare occasion when I get the opportunity to be in front of the camera (not including selfies taken with my phone). At least once a year at Thanksgiving, I force my family to pose for an official "family photo". It is rough being on the other side of the lens, and I am super critical, but I know that even though, I may not be as thin as I want, or look as good in the photo as I want, it's important to document this time in my life. My family won't all be together forever, and I am going to want something to look back on to remember the fun times hanging out, laughing at my mom's bad jokes, eating her fabulous cooking or making fun of my dad's obsession with his backyard. Good times ...

Nguyen Family Dixon Lake Escondido Holiday Session {Escondido Photographer}
I had never shot at Dixon Lake before, despite it being in my backyard ! It turned out to be a rare rainy day in San Diego we chose for Jeannie & Andrew's Family Session with their three munchkins. Dressed in their holiday best, and so well behaved, the kids were on their best behaviour and even the littlest one, despite having a cold, gave us a few smiles ! We had to take a break at one point and run under cover during a sprinkle, but the rain stopped and we got our shots. Such a cute family !
